  • In 1961, Richard Miller led Eckerd’s first men’s basketball season with a 6-3 record. Miller made 103 rebounds, 200 points, and scored an average of 22.2 points per game.
  • In 1962, Miller was the president of the Student Government Association at Eckerd. His goal was to preserve the integrity of the function of the constitution. Miller is quoted advocating for a “government by the students, not for the students by a small minority that would dictate to the student body their decisions.”
  • Additionally, Miller served as the intramural committee chairman in 1962.
  • He was also a part of the Track team in the Spring of 1962. He has participated in the high jump, broad jump, and 440-yard dash.
  • In 1964, Rich Miller, an economics major, was accepted to Northwestern where he received his MBA in Marketing and Advertising.
  • He worked his way up in the business world and is now the President at Richard G. Miller and Associates, Inc., a full service fund development consulting firm in Gainesville, Florida.
