  • From Frankfurt, West Germany, Martin Bremer became a leading offensive soccer player for Eckerd as a pioneer in the program's growing history, beginning in the 1970’s.
  • Bremer was awarded Amateur Athlete of the Year for the 1973 season, and was chosen Most Valuable Player for the state of Florida three times.
  • Bremer was inducted into the inaugural class of the Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame in 1991-92.
  • He amassed a staggering 99 goals and 20 assists (218 points) in his career, the all-time leading scorer in school history. He also led the 1974 team into a berth in the NCAA Division III National Tournament.
  • Following his prolific career on the pitch, Bremer returned overseas to teach as a professor at the University of Darmstadt in Germany.
