Eckerd College Athletics Hall of Fame

Becker-Dey was a Skipper on both the coed and women's sailing team in her time as a Triton graduating in 1987. She was instrumental in the team's early success as they transitioned from club to intercollegiate competition. She was named Eckerd's Skipper of the Year in 1986.
After Eckerd, Becker-Dey continued her sailing prowess competing in the 1996 and 2000 Olympics for the United States. In the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta, she won a bronze medal in the European class, which is a women's one-person dinghy.
She was named the Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year in 1990 and 1996 and was ranked No. 1 on the US Sailing Team from 1989-94.
She was the navigator on American3 in 1995, which was the first all women's team to compete in the America's Cup.
