  • Darula graduated from Eckerd in 1996 with a degree in Literature.
  • Was a standout catcher in his final two seasons leading the team in batting average, slugging percentage, runs, walks, and stolen bases in both junior and senior seasons.
  • In his junior (1995) season, Darula hit .448 setting the single-season record for batting average in Eckerd history. He was named the Sunshine State Conference Co-Player of the Year. He is the only Triton to be named SSC Player of the Year. He was also named to the ABCA All-American third team that season. 
  • In his senior season, Darula hit .362 with 11 doubles while driving in 26 runs and was named to the All-SSC Second Team. He also finished the season with 27 stolen bases. 
  • Ranks fourth all-time in Triton history in career batting average with a .385 average, third all-time in on-base percentage (.483), and 10th in stolen bases (42).
  • Darula spent 11 years in the minor leagues from 1996-2008 signing with the Brewers in 1996. He also spent time with Reds, Orioles, and Braves. Over his 11 years, Darula played in 787 games with a career 314./402/.443 slash line with 386 RBIs and 112 stolen bases as a catcher and outfielder. 
  • Darula spent four seasons at the AAA level where he had a .303/.370/.403 slash line with 61 RBIs and 23 stolen bases.
