ORLANDO, Fla. -- Emma Egan has been named the Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week for women's basketball, the league announced Monday afternoon.
Across two games at Valdosta State, Egan collected five steals, two blocks, and had 12 total rebounds on the defensive side. In the opener against the host Valdosta State, the senior swiped three steals and blocked two shots to go with 14 points and nine rebounds. She mirrored the 14-point, nine-rebound effort in game two against West Florida, also picking up a pair of steals.
This marks the first-ever SSC weekly award for Egan.Â
