Four women's basketball student-athletes recognized on CSC Academic All-District list

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Four members of the Eckerd women's basketball program have been named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, the organization announced Tuesday. Ieva Korzane, Emma Egan, Kailyn Terrell, and Lisa Michaelsen were among those recognized.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® women's basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Korzane, a senior from Jurmala, Valteri, Latvia, is majoring in International Business at Eckerd. A First Team All-SSC selection and D2CCA All-Region selection, Korzane was the Tritons top scorer during the season at 16.3 points per game. The senior scored in double figures 25 times this season, including a 33-point performance in a win over No. 4 Nova Southeastern that helped land her SSC Player of the Week recognition. Korzane also ranked second on the team in assists and averaged 4.0 rebounds per game from the point guard position. She sat fourth in the conference in scoring this season and fifth in field goal percentage at 52 percent. Korzane will advance to the CSC Academic All-American national ballot.

Egan, a senior from Mount Washington, Ky., is studying Biology and was a First Team All-SSC and D2CCA All-Region honoree for the Tritons. She appeared in 32 games and made 32 starts, averaging a near double-double of 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. She posted 15 double-doubles on the year, which included a 20-point, 14-rebound effort in a win over Tampa back in December. Egan ranked 11th in the conference in scoring, first in rebounding, 10th in field goal percentage, ninth in assists, and top 20 in steals. Egan will advance to the CSC Academic All-American national ballot.
