WINTER PARK, Fla. - The Eckerd sailing teams competed in a pair of weekend regattas at the Rollins College campus with a pair of fourth-place finishes at the Florida Trophy on Saturday and the SAISA Spring Women's Top Nine Invite on Sunday.
Carter Morin and
Tess Levanway led the A Division at the Florida Trophy to a third place finish with 24 points. The tandem came in second in race No. three and six.
Lily Schwartz and
Eloise Weiss comprised the B Division with 25 points and a fourth-place finish. The duo placed second in back-to-back races in No. two and three and also had a pair of third place finish.
Eckerd finished in fourth with 49 points, just five points from a second-place finish.
Jacksonville won the regatta with 24 points.
Eckerd placed fourth at the SAISA Spring Women's Top Nine Invite with 134 points.
Schwartz and Weiss led the A Division, placing third in race No. seven and second in race No. eight, ending with 46 points.
Sophie Leduc and Levanway competed in the B Division, finishing with 88 points.
Jacksonville won the event with 66 points.
Eckerd returns to the water on April 6-7 at the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championships in Charleston, SC, and April 12-13 at the SAISA Women's Championships in Jacksonville.
