ATLANTA, Ga. - Eckerd remains in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) rankings, coming in at No. 16 in this week's poll.
Last week, Eckerd (15-2, 11-4 SSC) bounced back from a loss to No. 19/18 Tampa, 67-56, on Wednesday to cruise past Palm Beach Atlantic, 60-39, on Saturday.
Eckerd's defense remains one of the top in the nation, ranking second in defensive field goal percentage (32.5) while ranking sixth in scoring defense (52.4).
Offensively, Maya Price ranks 19th in the nation in field goal percentage at 56.9 percent. Sofia Persson ranks 14th in the country in free throw percentage (88.8), while Lauryn Vieira ranks 16th in assist per game (5.5)
Glenville State tops the poll, while Tampa is the only other Sunshine State Conference team ranked, coming in at No. 15.
