ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Eckerd beach volleyball team will cap its 2017 campaign this weekend as the Tritons look to defend their small college championship from a year ago at the Fiesta on Siesta Invitational at Siesta Key, Florida.
The Tritons (9-7) are part of the Fiesta Pool at the 2017 Rox Small College National Championships. Â They play three pool matches on Saturday and one on Sunday before entering bracket play.
This year's field features 10 teams, five of which have faced off against Eckerd this season. Â EC is 6-1 against those opponents.
The duo of
Kaitlyn Sibson and
Madison Whiting pace the team with 12 wins this season, playing at both the No. 1 and No. 2 draws. Â
Arielle Erillo has been part of 10 victories while partnering with both
Mackenzie Redner and
Abigail O'Ferrell.
