SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo's Brittany Carannante scored a season-high 28 points to lead the Lions to a 59-50 win over the Eckerd College women's basketball team on Wednesday.
Carannante was the only Lion in double figures, though Chanele Patton had seven points and 10 rebounds.
Senior guard Ashley Lutz led the Tritons (10-6, 4-3 Sunshine State Conference) with 14 points, while Tijana Brdar had 10 points.
Saint Leo (8-9, 1-6 SSC) held Eckerd in check from behind the three-point arc, as the Tritons shot 17 percent. Eckerd shot 33 percent overall.
The Lions out-rebounded the Tritons 43-38.
