TAMPA, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons beach volleyball team finished its stay at the Tampa Beach Brawl on Saturday, falling to the South Florida Bulls by a score of 3-2 before dropping the finale against the Tampa Spartans 5-0.
Eckerd picked up a pair of wins in a close match against the Bulls, seeing a long 27-25 triumph by
Teagan VanderMey and
Ella Kloepper at No. 2 before the duo wrapped up the match with another two-point, 21-19 victory in the second set.
Jessi Meghreblian and
Natalie Harvey earned a win at No. 5 in straight sets with a score of 21-13, 21-16. The lone match that went three sets came at No. 3, with the Bulls earning a 19-17 decision.
Tampa took all five matches in the second contest of the day to close out the weekend.
Eckerd will be back in action on Thursday to kick off the Triton Invite.Â
