MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Four members of the Eckerd women's basketball team were named to the SSC's All-Conference Teams in announcement on Wednesday afternoon.
Ieva Korzane and
Emma Egan earned First Team honors, while
Jaylen Ostenson landed on Third Team.
Lisa Michaelsen was named to the All-Defensive Team, and head coach Paul Honsinger was awarded Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. The four selections are the most for the Eckerd women's basketball program since the 1989-90 season
Korzane, a First Team selection, was the Tritons top scorer this season at 15.3 points per game. The senior scored in double figures 21 times this season, including a 33-point performance in a win over No. 4 Nova Southeastern that helped land her SSC Player of the Week recognition. Korzane also ranked second on the team in assists and averaged 3.9 rebounds per game from the point guard position. She sat fourth in the conference in scoring this season and fifth in field goal percentage at 52 percent.
Also a First Team selection, Egan averaged a double-double in 2025-26 at 13.4 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest. She posted 14 double-doubles on the year, which included a 20-point, 14-rebound effort in a win over Tampa back in December. Egan ranked 11th in the conference in scoring, first in rebounding, 10th in field goal percentage, ninth in assists, and top 20 in steals.
Ostenson, a Third Team selection, was effective on both sides of the ball, averaging in double figures on the year at 10.6 points while also sitting in second in both blocks (14) and steals (32). The junior put up double figures 16 times during the season and had five double-digit rebounding efforts. Ostenson led the team in three-pointers made with 51, good for top 10 in the conference.
Michaelsen was named to the All-Defensive Team after leading the Tritons in blocks with 41, having also swiped 21 steals on the year. Michaelsen's 41 blocks puts her second in the conference in that category at 1.6 per contest. She also averaged 8.2 points and 4.9 rebounds per outing.
Coach Honsinger from Eckerd earns SSC Coach of the Year for the third time in his career. He led the Tritons to a regular season championship with a 22-5 overall record and a 17-3 mark in league play. This
is the second SSC regular season title of his career. The Tritons led the league in points allowed, giving up just 55.8 points per game. Opponents shot just 36 percent against Eckerd, and the Tritons punctuated stops with a league-leading 28.8 defensive rebounds per game.
