ST. PETERSBURG -- The Eckerd Tritons beach volleyball team earned a win in its lone match of the day on Friday, defeating the visiting Erskine Flying Fleet by a score of 4-1.
All five matches were decided in straight sets, with Erskine notching its lone victory at the No. 4 spot. Beginning at the top,
Brooke Hand and
Anna Jupin were victorious at No. 1, winning by a score of 21-17. 21-14.
Teagan VanderMey and
Ella Kloepper won their match 21-12, 21-14 at No. 2, while
Maddie Prois and
Emma Samuelson defeated their counterparts by a final of 21-10, 21-11.
Addie White and
Marti Boser rounded out the lineup at No. 5 with a 21-14, 21-17 decision.Â
The Tritons will close out the Triton Invite tomorrow vs. Berry and Catawba.
