Tempa, Ariz. - The Eckerd men's tennis team was honored for its academic excellence with a selection to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team. Three Tritons were also named to the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team.
The recipients of the ITA Scholar-Athlete Team are
Batu Ataseven,
Colbin Campbell, Adrian Gheroghe, Phil Grueninger, Marshall Hulett, Mario Kirkov, and Lukas Palla.
In order for student-athletes to be named to the scholar athlete team, they must post a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the current academic year.
The team posted a 3.76 grade-point average, posting a 9-8 record on the year.
Teams must post a team grade point average of 3.2 or above to be named to the ITA All-Academic Team.
