Batu Ataseven,
Adrian Gheorghe, and
Mario Kirkov- were selected to the College Sports Communicators All-District Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday, May 13.
Batu Ataseven, from Istanbul, Turkey, holds a 3.88 grade-point average in business administration. He is a two-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and tabbed the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award last year. He posted an 11-5 mark in the top singles slot and was selected to the All-SSC First team in singles. He also posts an 8-9 mark in doubles action. This is his second selection to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
Adrian Gheorghe, from London, England, maintains a 4.0 GPA in business management. He led Eckerd with a 14-2 mark in singles action, playing out of the No. 5 and 6 slots. He adds a 10-7 mark in doubles play in the No. 2 position.
Mario Kirkov, from Lubotice, Slovakia, holds a 3.84 GPA in Business Administration and Management. He was named to the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll last year. He posted a 7-10 mark in singles action, out of the No. 2 spot, and added an 8-9 mark in the top doubles spot.
The 2025 Academic All‐District® Tennis Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
