Five Tritons Garner CSC Academic All-District Accolades

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Five Tritons - Cam Collier, Kyle Ericson, Rick Koch, Reid Lisle, and Joe Wike  - were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Annual Academic All-District Baseball Team, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, June 4. 

Cam Collier, from St. Petersburg, Florida, boasts a 3.60 grade point average in business administration. Collier started all 49 games in the outfield with a .274 batting average. He added nine doubles and eight homeruns with 23 RBIs and 38 runs. He is a recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

Kyle Ericson holds a 3.8 GPA in business administration and is a catcher from Palm Harbor, Florida. He played in 39 games with 36 starts while posting a .290 batting average with nine doubles, a homerun, 24 RBIs, and 22 walks. He is a recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award

Rick Koch from Hamburg, Germany, holds a perfect 4.0 in marketing, international business, and communication. The right-handed pitcher appeared in 16 games with five starts on the mounds and a 5.73 ERA over 33 innings. He is a two-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll

Reid Lisle, from Apopka, Florida, maintains a 3.55 grade point average in business administration. A designated hitter, he led the team in batting average (.359), hits (61), RBIs (30), total bases (85), and walks (35) while ranking second on the squad in stolen bases with 12. He was selected to the All-SSC Second Team. 

Joe Wike bolsters a 3.57 GPA in communication and is a second baseman from Liverpool, New York. Wike started all 49 games and produced a .282 batting average with five doubles, two homeruns, 28 runs, and seven stolen bases. He is a three-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll, a two-time recipient of the D2ADA Academic Achievement Award, and was tabbed to the CSC Academic All-District team last year as well. 

The 2024 Academic All‐District® Baseball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5  or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
