Iamele Tabbed to CSC 30 Under 30 Class

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Eckerd Assistant Director of Athletic Communications Brittany Iamele has been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 Class, as announced by the organization on Tuesday, December 3. 

Iamele joined the Tritons staff as the Athletic Communications Coordinator in the summer of 2022. She aided the growth of Eckerd's department in a number of aspects, including the expansion of the student workforce, video content, social media coverage, and photography, leading to her promotion to Assistant Director of Athletic Communications in the summer of 2024. 

In the 2023-24 academic year, Iamele became the lead in video content and creation, which had a 132 percent increase in viewers and a 35 percent increase in likes over the year. Additionally, she produced all Triton Talks episodes and special video projects, including the 'House That Harley Built' and the 'Ultimate Triton' for the 2024 "An Evening With The Tritons Dinner Auction," which helped raise over $200,000 in the one-night event. 

At the 2024 CSC convention, she received 12 total honors from the CSC Publications and Digital Design Contest, including a 'Best in the Nation' award for photo of the year in the College Division. She finished runner-up in the College Division for photographer of the year while being the top among Division II members. She also ranked in the top 15 in the College Division and Division II for three short-form and one long-form video. 

She was selected to serve as the social media coordinator for the NCAA Division II Women's College World Series in the summer of 2024. 

Iamele serves as the staff advisor for Eckerd's chapter of Morgan's Message for Mental Health Education, helping launch the chapter at Eckerd in the 2023-24 year.  She also serves on the CSC Young Professionals Committee, the NWBCA South Region Voting Committee, the NCAA Division II Regional Advisory Committee for Women's Lacrosse and the Sunshine State Conference Standing Stastics Committee for Lacrosse.
