Four Tritons Earn CSC Academic All-District Team Honors

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - Four Tritons - Jenice Casanas, Hannah Gordon, Brenna Lokeinsky, and Skylar Redish - were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) annual Academic All-District Softball Team.

Casanas, from Miami, Florida, holds a 3.82 grade-point average in psychology. She played in all 47 games this season with a .248 batting average and 18 stolen bases. Over her career, she has appeared in 87 games with 49 hits, 38 runs, and 23 stolen bases. She is a two-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and a two-time recipient of the NFCA Scholar All-American award.

Gordon, from Charlestown, Maryland, boasts a 3.91-grade point average in environmental studies and economics. Gordon played in 30 games this year, logging three extra-base hits and five RBIs. She appeared in 15 games last year. She is a two-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and a two-time recipient of the NFCA Scholar All-American award.

Lokeinsky, from Cooper City, Florida, holds a perfect 4.0 GPA in business administration. This year, she topped the squad with a .381 batting average while being named to the All-SSC second and defensive teams. She has started 87 games with a .338 career batting average with 97 hits, 18 doubles, and 12 homeruns. She is a two-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and a two-time recipient of the NFCA Scholar All-American award. 

Reddish from Live Oak, Florida, maintains a 3.72-grade point average in psychology and human development. She held a .264 batting average with five homeruns this year. Over her career, she has appeared in 154 games with 107 hits, 14 doubles, 18 homeruns, and 68 RBIs. She is a four-time recipient of the SSC Spring Commissioner's Honor Roll and a two-time recipient of the NFCA Scholar All-American award. 

The four honorees ​​now move onto the Academic All-American ballot, which will be announced later this month. 
 
The 2023 Academic All‐District® Softball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5  or higher to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
