Taylor wins third SSC Player of the Week award

MELBOURNE, Fla. -- Hannah Taylor of Eckerd softball has been named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Taylor went 5-for-7 (.714) with 10 RBI in a three-game sweep over Barry. She drove in eight runs in game one, highlighted by a grand slam. Taylor also added three doubles, drew five walks (including one intentional), a stolen base and four runs scored during the series. She also tied the Eckerd single-season record with 17 doubles.
