TAMPA, Fla. - The Eckerd beach volleyball team fell to Tampa 5-0 at the UT Beach Volleyball Courts Tuesday night.
The Tritons' top pairing of Agata Sklepik and Kitana Lim hung close with the Spartans' top flight of Julia Oswald and Payton Brunick in the first set, only falling 22-20 before dropping the match 21-12.
Dana Dull and Joelle Coulter were the only two Tritons to take a set from the Spartans, winning set two 21-18. They dropped the No. 2 flight, falling in set three 15-11 after dropping set one 22-20.Â
The Tritons (3-11) head to the AVCA Small College Championships in Tavares, Florida, this weekend. In the first round of pool play they face Concordia Irvine (Calif.) at 8:00 AM and Saint Leo at 11:15 AM.
