Eckerd Suffers Road Defeat at Saint Leo

SAINT LEO, Fla. - The Eckerd beach volleyball team fell, 4-1, in a road match at Saint Leo on Tuesday afternoon at the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts.

The No. 3 pairing of Anna Jungjohann and Nicole Perekhodko gave the Tritons their lone win of the day, 21-13 and 21-17, over SLU's Ally-Reese Williams and Emma Miller.

Mariana Olivares-Cely and Nicki Bechtold fell in the first set of the No. 4 draw, 21-13, but improved for a 21-15 second set score. Joelle Coulter and Dana Dull battled in the No. 1 slot, dropping their first set 21-8, building on their performance for a 21-15 improvement in the second set.

The Tritons (1-9) travel to Lake Sumter Community College for a dual match on Thursday at 1:00 PM.
