MELBOURNE, Fla.- After leading Eckerd to a pair of straight-set victories last week,
Krysten Garrison has been named the Sunshine State Conference Setter of the Week.
A junior from Piedmont, Missouri, Garrison totaled 104 assists over three matches at an average of 11.6 per set.
She opened the week with 28 assists and nine digs in a loss at Saint Leo on Tuesday. On Friday, Garrison added 32 assists, five digs, and two blocks in a sweep of Barry at home.
She saved her best performance of the week for Saturday, dishing out 44 assists in a three-set victory over Florida Tech. She also added three blocks and two aces. Her 44 assists in three sets are the most over three sets by a Triton since Shannon Ruby posted 51 on October 17, 2007.
She has posted 868 assists this season at an average of 9.04 per set, ranking third in the SSC. She also averages 1.47 kills and 1.83 digs per set.
The award is the second of the season for Garrison, previously winning the award on October 4.
Eckerd 16-11 (7-9 SSC) returns to action on Tuesday, hosting Rollins at 7:00 PM.
