LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Kinga Michalska of the Eckerd volleyball team has been named a Third Team All-American by the AVCA, the organization announced Wednesday morning. Michalska is the fourth All-American for the Tritons volleyball program since 2022.
Michalska, a First Team All-SSC selection, earned this recognition after leading the team in kills during the season with 412. In conference matches, she ranked third in the SSC with 293 total kills and an average of 3.81 per set. Michalska also sat in the top 25 in the league in hitting percentage and was 19th in digs at 2.69 per game. Her 53 aces (0.69 average) in SSC play was the top mark in the league, with the next highest coming in at 34. She finished the season with 80 service aces, good for an Eckerd program record and second-most all-time in a single season in SSC history. Michalska wrapped up the season with 15 double-doubles and three 20-plus kill performances.
She is the first Triton to land Third Team or better on the AVCA's All-America list since 2015.
