Mitch Calandra and Buonopane opened the inning with back-to-back singles, but both were stranded as Broderick Rodocker retired the next three batters.
Ben Deaver (0-1) took the loss, allowing two unearned runs in the eighth. Â Calandra kept his hitting streak alive with a 2-for-5 performance while Conti extended his streak of reaching base safely to 30 games.
