ABOUT THE EAGLES
- Embry-Riddle is in its second year of transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II.  The Eagles are playing a full Sunshine State Conference schedule, although they are not officially members of the conference yet, and are 3-6 in those games.  They enter tonight's game riding the momentum of back-to-back wins over SSC opponents Saint Leo (68-50) and Lynn (66-55).
- The women's basketball program at ERAU is only in its second year of existence.  The Eagles went 17-12 in their inaugural campaign in 2014-15 in their final season in the NAIA.
- ERAU is led by sophomore Sabrina Whiting, the 2015 Sun Conference Freshman of the Year.  Whiting, a 5-foot-9 guard, averages 15.9 points per game on the season and has been particularly hot as of late averaging 21.8 points per game over her last five including a season-high 27 against Nova Southeastern.  She's also a strong defender, leading the team in steals with 32.
- Aside from Whiting, who has made 35 3-pointers, the Eagles don't convert many looks from behind the arc.  Only one other player has made more than 10 3's (Ashley McWilliams, 14).

ABOUT THE TRITONS
- Since the calendar flipped to 2016, the Tritons have found themselves in tight contests every time they've stepped on the floor.  Eckerd has either been tied or held the lead in the fourth quarter in all four of those games, but have only been able to pull out one win against tough SSC competition.
- Ashley Folsom has continued her strong play in the post and now leads the team in scoring with 11.7 points per game.  She scored a career-high 26 points last Wednesday in a 77-72 overtime win over Lynn University and is averaging 17.6 points per game over her last five.
- Anna Deegan has been shooting the ball well from the outside recently, knocking down nine 3's in her last four games while shooting 64.2 percent from behind the arc during that stretch.
- Eckerd enters the night ranking second in the conference and 39th in Division II in opponent field goal percentage, holding teams to 35.7 percent shooting.  However, teams have shot above 40 percent against EC in each of the last four games.
