ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. –
Sarah Agnew, Logan Rohrbach and Kristen Schurr, made their final homestand at the Turley Athletic Complex as the Eckerd College softball program celebrated Senior Day against Palm Beach Atlantic University in a Saturday afternoon doubleheader.

Palm Beach Atlantic held on for a 2-1 victory in the opener before finishing off the day with a 14-6 decision in six innings.

After facing each other at the Eckerd-hosted Spring Invitational in Clearwater earlier this year, the Sailfish (25-21 overall) held the upper hand against the Tritons (19-34 overall) this time around after the opener went down to the wire in a pitcher's duel.

The field was ornately decorated by the team with signage and respective jersey numbers of the senior class were painted in chalk behind home plate.

With 75 games appeared in spanning her four-year career (third most all-time in school history), Rohrbach delivered a gem against a dangerous PBA offensive lineup. She went the distance for her third complete game of the season and kept Eckerd within striking distance until the end.

Rohrbach was joined on the field for the pregame ceremonies with her mother, Renee, while Agnew and Schurr were also accompanied by family members. Together, they have been with the program since 2009 and accounted for exactly 467 games spanning their careers, a testament to their longevity.

Rohrbach scattered seven hits in seven innings while walking one and added to her team-leading strikeout totals.

Freshman Stephanie Wolfrom gave the home team a temporary lead in the second inning, skying a double to opposite field right that scored sophomore Brittany Mitchell all the way from first.

But RBI singles by Lindsey Johnson and Camille Benito tied and gave the Sailfish the lead in PBA's next turn of plate appearances in the third inning.

The Tritons put the leadoff/game-tying runner on base in different three innings against PBA starter Mary Pippin in attempt to score the equalizer following the Sailfish two-run third frame.

Palm Beach Atlantic turned to Amber Johnson to close it out for a three-inning save.

With the wind blowing in for most of the afternoon, the Sailfish sprayed 21 hits around all parts of the field to close the doubleheader, including seven hits in a seven-run third inning.

Palm Beach Atlantic was poised to the end the game early, but the Tritons roared back and extended play with two runs in three consecutive innings.

Junior leadoff hitter Chelsea Jeffares clubbed a pair of doubles and drove in a run. Schurr went 2-for-3 and Agnew delivered a flared RBI single to shallow right field, appropriate endings to fill the box score in their final home game.

PBA's Lindsey Johnson, who came into the doubleheader hitting close to .400, went 4-for-5 with three runs scored and three RBI to lead the Sailfish offense.

The Tritons will conclude the regular season and the Sunshine State Conference schedule with a trip to Barry University next weekend in Miami Shores.
