GREENWOOD, Ind. – Hannah Taylor of Eckerd Softball has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon. She becomes just the sixth Eckerd student-athlete ever to win the prestigious award, and the first since 2018. A Second Team selection, Taylor is the first-ever Tritons softball student-athlete to be recognized on the Academic All-America teams.
Taylor, a Psychology major from Brooksville, Fla., boasted a 3.88 cumulative GPA. On the field, she earned a pair of All-American honors from the NFCA and D2CCA, while also securing First Team All-Region from those organizations, and First Team All-SSC.
Taylor capped off her illustrious career with the Tritons starting all 46 games for Eckerd in 2026, playing various positions that included catcher, first base, and shortstop. She ranked second on the team with a .425 average, and finished with a single-season school record 21 doubles to go with 12 home runs and 66 RBI, which is also a single-season program record. Taylor also ranked in the top five in seven statistical categories in the SSC, and led the league in RBI and doubles. She was SSC Player of the Week four times this season.
