LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Hannah Taylor of Eckerd softball has been named Second Team All-American at the utility position, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) announced Wednesday afternoon. This marks the second straight season Taylor has earned All-America honors.
Taylor, a First Team All-SSC selection, started all 46 games for Eckerd, playing various positions that included catcher, first base, and shortstop to land her First Team All-Conference as a utility. She ranked second on the team with a .425 average and finished with a single-season school record 21 doubles to go with 12 home runs and 66 RBI, which is also a single-season program record. Taylor ranked in the top five in seven statistical categories in the SSC, and led the league in RBI and doubles. She was SSC Player of the Week four times this season and earned All-Region from both the NFCA and D2CCA.
