ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Saint Anselm (N.H.) scored three runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally for a 3-2 win over the Eckerd College baseball team on a windy Tuesday evening at the Turley Athletic Complex.

James Garrigan went 2-for-4, including a go-ahead, two-run single in the seventh, to lead the Hawks (3-2). Saint Anselm also rode the arm of right-hander Tito Lluberes (1-0), who went seven innings and gave up just six hits and two runs.

Right-hander J.W. Kilpatrick (0-1) took the loss for Eckerd (7-4), which used six pitchers.

Wess Hollins, Alex Del Monte and Bryant Gibson each had two hits for the Tritons. Hollins scored Gibson on an RBI single in the third inning to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.

The lead held until the seventh, as the Hawks strung together five consecutive hits to lead off the inning.

Garrigan capped the streak with a two-run single to shallow left-center field, scoring Rett Ostafin and Dan Legasse, to give Saint Anselm a 3-1 lead.

The Tritons got a run in the seventh on an RBI single from Gibson. But the Hawk relieving tandem of Kyle Lavin and Neil Hesek got the final six outs to clinch it.
