DAVIE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks (21-15, 5-5 SSC) scored eight runs in the first three innings and never looked back as they defeated the Eckerd Tritons (15-15, 1-9 SSC), 19-3, on Thursday evening at the NSU Baseball Complex.
NSU started the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the first by Brayan Valencia, who would later hit a three-run homer.

Jake Wilder (2-4) took the loss while NSU hurler Nick Avila earned the win after six innings of work.
The Tritons will return to play on Friday as they conclude their SSC series against the Sharks in doubleheader action beginning at 12pm.
