Biography

2012 (Senior): Named to the SSC Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll...Compiled a 3-5 record on the mound with 13 starts and 15 total appearances...Logged 64.1 innings, second best on the team...Fanned 37 hitters, ranking thir on the team...Posted a strong 3.92 ERA and went the distance for one complete-game shutout...Struck out five in five scoreless innings in third start of the season against Ave Maria University (Feb. 20), effectively picking up his first win...Punched out a season-high seven in 5 1/3 frames in a 9-5 win over Florida Memorial University (March 3)...Shut down a hot-hitting offense from Lynn University (April 14) for six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits in a no-decision effort...Very effective to win his final start of the season vs. Palm Beach Atlantic University (May 5), scattering four hits through six innings and allowing just one run.

2011 (Junior): Made 15 appearances, including five starts...Got off to torrid start, allowing just one unearned run in February -- a span of 15 1/3 innings...First start came on Feb. 26 against Florida Memorial...Led Tritons to 5-1 victory after allowing just three hits and an unearned run in the complete-game win...Struck out career-high seven...Matched the career high mark with seven strikeouts in five innings of work against Urbana on March 10...Combined with Joey Cuda on a two-hit shutout, which made head coach Bill Mathews the winningest coach in school history.

2010 (Sophomore): Was second on pitching staff in games started (11) and innings pitched (51.1)...Picked up two wins, including one in relief against Saint Anselm on Feb. 28...Got first win as a starter on March 14 against Saint Ambrose after going season-long seven innings...Scattered seven hits and allowed three runs in victory...Struck out season-high five on April 9 against Florida Tech.

Prior to Eckerd: Played for Coach Eric Wagman at Northeast High School…Earned Team MVP honors as a freshman…A First Team All-Conference selection as a sophomore…Earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a senior.

Personal: Born on Aug. 24 in St. Petersburg, Fla…Son of Brian and Donna Wilder…Majoring in business…Names Lou Gehrig as his favorite athlete and the Oakland Athletics as his favorite team…Chose Eckerd because he wanted to get a good education while pursuing baseball at the collegiate level.
