INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Reggie Fear of the Eckerd men's golf team has been named an individual qualifier for the NCAA South/Southeast Regional, the NCAA announced Sunday evening.
Fear, currently ranked No. 4 nationally by Clippd, is one of four individuals to qualify for the postseason in the South Region. He will join four others from the Southeast Region. It is the second straight regional berth for Fear, who last year became the first Eckerd individual to qualify for regional play since 2011.
Fear has won two SSC Golfer of the Week awards this season and was the runner-up at the conference championship last week at Lake Jovita. Earlier this season, Fear reached No. 1 in the nation by Clippd.
Regionals will take place May 7-9 at Valdosta Country Club in Valdosta, Ga.
