SAINT LEO, Fla. – Reggie Fear of Eckerd men's golf is in second place after the first two rounds of the Sunshine State Conference Tournament played on Monday.
Fear shot 3-under on Monday with round scores of 70 and 71, good for -1 in round one and -2 in round two. He hit three birdies on the front nine in round one and five total during the 18 holes. Fear followed it up with four birdies in round two, three of which came in the back nine. He will enter Tuesday's action just two strokes behind first place and one of five golfers under par.
Henry Wigg is next for the Tritons in 34th, jumping 12 spots on the leaderboard after following a +9 in round one with an even-par performance in the second. He connected on five birdies in round two.
Drew Campbell is in 44th,
Josh DiZinno in 46th, and
Tyler Van Dusen in 47th to round out the five for Eckerd. The Tritons sit in 10th as a team at +36.
The final round will take place tomorrow.
