MIAMI LAKES, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons men's golf team placed eighth out of 18 teams on Monday and Tuesday at the Battle of the Lakes tournament hosted by Barry.
Reggie Fear led the way for Eckerd with an eighth-place finish, shooting -3 for the tournament with a score of 213. Fear shot even par before a 4-under effort in round two. He ended Tuesday's action +1 to close out the two-day event.Â
Henry Wigg was next for the Tritons in 30th overall at +4. He bounced back from a 5-over par performance in round one with a 2-over effort in round two. Wigg closed out the tournament 3-under in the final round to shoot up the leaderboard.
Drew Campbell earned 41st overall, seeing his best score of 73 come in the opening round, while
Josh DiZinno finished one stroke behind him in 44th. DiZinno shot 2-over par in each of the first two rounds.
Thayne Thomas rounded out the lineup in 92nd.
Eckerd will next compete in the SSC Championship on April 20-21.
