MIRAMAR, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons women's track team wrapped up its final meet before the upcoming SSC Championships on Saturday, finishing seventh out of 10 teams at the HBCU Relays Experience.
Nathalia Mallo won her third race of the season, placing first in the 1500m with a time of 4:48.81. The mark was good for nearly three seconds faster than the second-place finisher. Mallo also placed fourth in the 400m event with a time of 1:01.13.
In the 800m,
Kailani Casazza earned fourth overall after crossing the finish line in 2:23.93.
Brooke Sawyer also placed eighth in the race with a mark of 2:56.46.
Abigail Davidson finished in sixth in the 5000m with a final time of 23:04.38.
The Tritons will be back in action in two weeks for the SSC Championships.
