TAMPA, Fla. -- Nathalia Mallo won the 800m event to highlight the Eckerd women's track team at the Spartans Classic on Friday night. The Tritons competed in the three events and saw three top-six finishes.
Mallo's time of 2:19.74 was good for first place in the 800m race, shaving four seconds off her career best for a new personal record. Teammate
Kailani Casazza also earned fourth in the event with a time of 2:23.72. Mallo also competed in the 1500m race and placed sixth overall with a mark of 4:55.47.
Abigail Davidson finished the 5,000m with a time of 21:44.89.
Eckerd will be back in action March 28 for the Shark Invitational at Nova Southeastern.
