Mallo wins second race of season at Shark Invitational

MIRAMAR, Fla. -- Nathalia Mallo won her second race of the season on Saturday to highlight the Eckerd women's track team at the Shark Invitational.

Mallo was the winner in the 1500m race, clocking a time of 4:53.48 to bring home first place. She also placed second in the 800m race, saving three seconds off for a new PR with a mark of 2:16.60. Her time was just .14 out of first place. 

Also in the 800, Kailani Casazza placed seventh overall with a time of 2:23.90. Brooke Sawyer finished the event with a time of 2:52.04. Back in the 1500m race, Abigail Davidson posted a time of 6:22.22, while Casazza had a personal best by nearly two seconds in the 400m with a time of 1:02.14.

Eckerd will be back in Miramar on April 11 for the HBCU Relays Experience.
