NORMAN, Okla. – Reggie Fear of Eckerd men's golf has been named to the PING All-South Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday afternoon.
Fear, a First Team All-SSC selection and the conference's runner-up, ended the season ranked as the nation's No. 9 ranked golfer and qualified for his second straight NCAA regional appearance. He boasted a scoring average of 69.9 during the regular season with one win and five top-three finishes. He was also a two-time SSC Men's Golfer of the Week award recipient, and reached the No. 1 spot in the nation at one point by Clippd.
This season marked two straight Fear has appeared on the All-SSC Teams, upping last year's Second Team nod. He is the first First Team selection for the Tritons since the 2004-05 season. It is also the second straight recognition from the GCAA after landing on the All-Freshman Team a year ago.
