BOSTON, Mass. -- Eckerd women's basketball coach, Paul Honsinger, has been named the Division II Coach of the Week by
WHoopDirt.com, the organization announced Thursday morning.

This week's award covers games ranging from Jan. 24-31, in which the Tritons posted a 3-0 record with wins over two nationally-ranked programs. Eckerd started off by defeating No. 14 Embry-Riddle at home by a score of 73-55 before earning a double-digit road victory against No. 4 Nova Southeastern by a final of 79-65. The Tritons closed out the week with a 28-point victory at Rollins.
Those wins, plus another Nova Southeastern loss later in the week, moved Eckerd into a tie for first in the SSC.
This marks the sixth season of WHoopDirt.com's Coach of the Week and Coach of the Year programs. All coaches recognized are now eligible for the
WHoopDirt.com National Coach of the Year Award, presented by Just Play Solutions, which will be announced at the conclusion of the 2025-26 college basketball season.
