Women's golf in 4th following first day of Eckerd Invitational

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Eckerd Tritons women's golf team sits in fourth place overall following the first day of the Eckerd Invitational at Pasadena Yacht & Country Club. 

Sophie Foulds leads the Tritons in third place individually after shooting a 70 and 74 in the first two rounds to sit at even-par. Her first-round score of 70 was tied with two other golfers for the best of the first 18 holes. Melissa Ball is in 19th after the first day. She shot -1 in the first round, but fell down the leaderboard with a +8 score in the second. Sofia Dyhre is in 27th after shooting scores of 77 in both rounds, while Aubane Statiotis is two strokes behind in a tie for 32nd. Camille Padieu shot 162 and sits in 54th.

Overall, the Tritons sit in fourth with a score of 602, just five strokes behind Anderson (S.C.).
