Women's golf concludes DII Regional Preview in Tennessee

CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- The Eckerd women's golf team wrapped up its stay at the DII Regional Preview on Tuesday, finishing in ninth place out of 16 teams.

Melissa Ball was the top performer for the Tritons with a 13th place standing. The senior moved up 19 spots from 30th to 11th after round two's action on Monday after shooting 1-under par to climb the leaderboard. She ended +8 over the two days with a score of 224. Aubane Statiotis was next for Eckerd in 30th, shooting a 77 on Tuesday after seeing a 73 and 79 during Monday's rounds. Sophie Foulds had a strong second and third round to catapault into a tie for 37th. Foulds was 9-over par after round one, shot 3-over in both the second and third to end +15. Camille Padieu also had her best round on Tuesday, shooting a 75 to finish +3 and end in 62nd overall. Sofia Dyhre rounded out the Tritons' lineup in 71st. 

As a team, Eckerd placed ninth with a score of 920, just two spots out of eighth. 

The team will be back in action next Monday and Tuesday to host the Eckerd Invitational.
