Tempa, Ariz. - The Eckerd women's tennis team was honored for its academic excellence with a selection to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Team. Seven Tritons were also named to the Scholar-Athlete Team.
The recipients of the scholar-athlete award are
Catherine Cole,
Maialen Idiakez,
Olivia Lindestaf,
Kylie Misdorp,
Morgan O'Connor,
Maya Soligo, and
Laura Ullrich.
In order for student-athletes to be named to the scholar athlete team, they must post a grade point average of at least 3.5 for the current academic year.
The team posted a 3.50 grade-point average and a 9-10 record on the year, picking up its first SSC win since 2006.
Teams must post a team grade point average of 3.2 or above to be named to the ITA All-Academic Team.
