Louisville, Ky.- 11 Eckerd softball student-athletes were honored for their success in the classroom, receiving the Easton/NFCA All-American Scholar-Athlete award as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA).
The recipients were Ashley Cain, Kinsley Castro, Gracie Ciccarello, Lex Difato, Reese Founds, Mia Hernandez, Addisan Langston, Ava Planeta, Brandilyn Reymer, Hannah Taylor, and Joelle Wike.
Castro, Ciccarello, Founds, Langston, Reymer, and Wike earned their second recognition as NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes.
In order to qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain a 3.5-grade point average or above on a 4.0 scale over both semesters of the 2024-25 academic year.
Eckerd's 11 recipients are the second-most NFCA Scholar-Athlete honorees in program history.
The team further demonstrated its success with a 3.54 cumulative grade point average throughout the academic year.
