Five Tritons Garner CSC Academic All-District Honors

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla - Five Tritons - Ashley Cain, Gracie Ciccarello, Mia Hernandez, Brandilyn Reymer, and Hannah Taylor - were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by the organization on Tuesday, May 27. 

Cain, from Chandler, Arizona, holds a 3.92 grade point average in political science. Cain appeared in 48 of 50 games this year with a .220 batting average and 14 RBIs. 

Ciccarello, from Tampa, Florida, maintains a 3.92 GPA in business administration. She appeared in 36 games with a .304 batting average, 16 runs, and eight RBIs. She was tabbed to the SSC All-Defensive Team this year and the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2024. 

Hernandez, from Pembroke Pines, Florida, bolsters a 3.53 grade point average in psychology.  Hernandez started 48 games with a .341 batting average, ranking third on the squad. She also added 29 runs and 13 stolen bases.   She was selected to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll last year. 

Reymer, from Ashland, Ohio, boasts a 3.85 GPA in human development. Reymer led Eckerd in the circle with a 2.34 ERA over 31 appearances over 164 innings. She posted a 15-11 record with two saves and 203 strikeouts. She set the single-season record for strikeouts. She was tabbed to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll and D2ADA Academic Achievement Award last year. 

Taylor, from Brookesville, Florida, holds a 3.89 grade point average in psychology.  Taylor started all 50 games with an SSC-leading .446 batting average. She added 12 doubles, 13 homeruns, 75 hits, and 59 RBIs. She was tabbed to the NFCA and D2CCA All-American Second Team, D2CCA South Region Player of the Year, and SSC Player of the Year. She was named to the SSC Commissioner's Honor Roll last year.

Taylor moves on to the Academic All-American ballot, which will be released in mid-June.  

The 2025 Academic All‐District® Softball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.5  or higher in order to qualify for selection. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
