ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - Highlighted by a third place finish in the B Division, the Eckerd open sailing team finished 16th at the ICSA Open Eastern Semi Finals on Tuesday.
Jordan Vieira skippered the A Division with Tia Soultanakis as crew. They finished with 148 points in 16th place in the division. They had a pair of 11th place finishes in races 5A and 9A.
Paul Jr. Rodrigues skippered the B Division with Avery Guck as crew. They started and ended the regatta strong with a fifth place finish in their first race, and a third place finish in their final race. They finished the event with 120 points in 14th place.
Eckerd finished with 268 points in sixteenth.
Harvard won the Eastern Division with 123 points. The top nine teams from the Eastern Division advanced on to the Open Fleet Race National Championship.
