Avery Guck and
Jordan Vieira were tabbed to the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (SAISA) Sailing Team as announced by the organization.
Guck was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year and First Team for crew, while Vieira was tabbed as the Rookie of the Year and First Team for skippers. The duo helped lead Eckerd to a selection to the ICSA Open Fleet Race Nationals.
Guck, from Barrington, Rhode Island, competed in 14 events this year with seven top-five finishes. She finished second at the SAISA South Top 6 Invite on September 14 and third at the SAISA Top 18 Invite on February 22 and at the 2025 Sailpack Oriental Intercollegiate Regatta on March 29-30.
Vieira, from Bermuda, competed in 14 events this year with nine top-five finishes. He won the A Division at the Admiral's Cup on April 26-27 and finished runner-up at the SAISA South Top 6 Invite on September 14 and the USF Trophy on September 15.
Eckerd heads to ICSA Nationals on May 27-30 in St. Mary's City, Maryland.
