BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Eckerd Tritons men's tennis team saw its eight-match winning streak come to an end on Friday, falling on the road to the No. 37 ranked Lynn Fighting Knights by a score of 6-1.
Lynn claimed all three doubles matches to begin the contest and take a 1-0 lead into singles play.
Mario Kirkov and
Konrad Fischer forced a tiebreak at No. 3, but eventually fell 7-6 (7-1).
In singles, Fischer notched the lone victory for the Tritons at the No. 5 position, winning by retirement after securing a 6-3 victory in the opening set. All of the other five matches went in favor of the Fighting Knights.
The Tritons will be back in action next Friday to host No. 4 Saint Leo.Â
