Box Score ST. PETERSBURG -- The Eckerd Tritons men's tennis team fell to the No. 4 Saint Leo Lions on Friday by a score of 7-0.
The visiting Lions grabbed an early point after taking two of the three doubles matches to begin the contest.
Mario Kirkov and
Valdemar Spillemose Anderson knotted things up at one win apiece following their 6-2 victory at No. 3, but Saint Leo earned a 6-3 win at No. 2 to clinch the point.
All six singles matches went in favor of the Lions. Kirkov won his first set at No. 3 by a score of 6-2, but eventually fell in three.
The Tritons will be back in action Monday at No. 11 Florida Southern.
