KINGS POINT, NY - Highlighted by a victory in the A Division, the Eckerd open sailing team finished seventh at the Admiral's Cup over the weekend.
Jordan Vieira skippered the A Division with Tia Soultanakis (1-10) and
Carter Morin (11-12) as crew. They won the division with 60 points, an 18-point lead over St. Mary's. They had seven top-five finishes over the 12-race event, highlighted by victories in races No. 5 and 6.
Paul Jr. Rodrigues skippered the B Division with
Avery Guck (1-8) and
Lily Schwartz (9-12) as crew, finishing with 132 points in 13th place.
Eckerd finished with 192 points in seventh, four points off sixth.
Hobart and William Smith won the regatta with 158 points.
Eckerd turns to the ICSA Fleet Race Selection Show on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
