LAKELAND, Fla. - The Eckerd men's golf team opened the spring slate at the Matlock Collegiate Classic at the Lone Palm Golf Course on Monday and Tuesday. Freshman Reggie Fear continued his strong play from the fall with a 13th-place finish with an even-216.
Eckerd shot rounds of 303-289-305 for a three-round total of 897 and a 14th-place finish.
- Fear fired 21 pars and 15 birdies.
- Fear carded six birdies in the second round.
- He sat 10th after Monday's rounds.
- Fear's 69 was his third round of the season in the 60's.
- Campbell carded nine birdies and 31 pars.
- Thomas added 10 birdies and 24 pars.
